Asian news service explains an animated US television battle

The latest chapter in the late-night television wars between talk show hosts veteran Jay Leno and his replacement Conan O'Brien on the classic Tonight Show on the NBC network in the US sees O'Brien leaving the network 45 million dollars richer. But the feud has caused celebrities and viewers to take sides on blogs and Twitter while others seek to understand what all the fuss is about.

The complicated story caught the attention of Appledaily Action News in Hong Kong, which created a mocking summary of the fiasco with an amusing animated video, posted on YouTube. Entitled "Showdown at NBC," it explains the Conan vs. Leno debacle, Superhero style, in both the original Mandarin and an English translation.
