Free admission to the conclusion of golf's 2009 European Tour in Dubai

Top golfers conclude the PGA European Tour tournament in Dubai this November, on a brand new golf course opening to the public for the first time. Second only in importance to the PGA Tour, the European Tour this year renamed its traditional ranking of top-earning tour players The Race To Dubai, indicating the distinction given to this new course.

The Dubai World Championship, a four day golfing event starting on Thursday 19 November, marks the last stage of the PGA European Tour with a prize fund offering substantial levels of remuneration for the world's top golfers. The winner of the Championship takes away a hefty $1.5m from a total purse worth $7.5 million, and the overall tournament winner also pockets a bonus $1.5m from a similarly sized fund. Both victors also gain automatic entry to a fixed amount of future European Tours in recognition of their achievement.

Designed by golfing legend Greg Norman, the course at Jumeirah Golf Estates reflects the element of "Earth"; the other three courses are of course named "Fire", "Water", and "Wind", and involved not only Norman but also Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, and the prominent and influential course designer Pete Dye.

General admission for spectators is free by arrangement via the Dubai World Championship website, with pavilion-based hospitality packages available for 2800 Emirati Dirhams (equivalent to $765 or €510). The high class options don't stop there though - the Ultimate Golf Package comes at a price of 8000 Dirhams ($2180 / €1455) and includes 2 day pavilion access and the opportunity to play the course on the day after the conclusion of the tournament among its selection of benefits.
