Friday's highlights include the US release of Alice in Wonderland, an international jewelry show in Hong Kong and a major Russian exhibition at Paris's Louvre, among other events.
"Saint Russia" exhibition
March 5- May 24
The Louvre celebrates the French-Russian friendship year with a massive gathering of Russian works, approximately 400, some rarely displayed because of their frailty, to recount Russia's Christian history from the 9th to the 18th century. "Sainte Russie" covers the era from the beginning of a Christian Russia to Peter the Great.
International Jewelry Show
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
Billed as the region's "largest spring jewelry show," highlights this year include Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition and exhibitions covering everything from antique jewelry to semi-precious stones. Last year's event hosted more than 2,300 booths while drawing in 30,000 buyers from 124 countries and regions.
