50th Thessaloniki International Film Festival

November 2009 will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Thessaloniki film festival. Greece will welcome around 240 films from all over the world with this year's theme "Why cinema now?" The festival will also have regional screenings in 16 Greek cities from November 22 onwards.

Nissan Leaf North American Tour

The Nissan Leaf, the early pick to become the Prius of electric cars, will be on display in the western hemisphere for the first time. The car will embark on a 21-city tour that will take it across the US and Canada. Nissan will hold events to offer interested drivers, media, civic partners, businesses and university students the chance to learn more about the EV model that is expected to take the world by electrical storm in 2010.

The London Jazz Festival

This festival brings together every year an eclectic mix of jazz musicians from around the world in various London venues from major concert halls, like the Royal Albert Hall, to tiny clubs. KUNST Zurich

More than 80 galleries will take part in the 2009 KUNST Zurich art fair. Visitors attending the fair will be exposed to a mixture of contemporary, classic and modern art from Swiss and international galleries. For the third time 12 young Swiss artists will present solo shows in the ZKB Art Award Hall and will be on hand to discuss their words. One of the 12 artists will receive the prestigious ZKB Art Award for their cutting-edge art presented at the fair.
