For the 36th year, the People's Choice Awards will air on US television on January 6, 2010. Nominations were announced this week, selected by 18 million voters online. Now the public is invited to vote for favorites in 35 categories, spanning films, television, and music.
Not surprisingly, Twilight is one of the top nominees, chosen for favorite movie, favorite movie actress (Kristen Stewart), favorite actor (Robert Pattinson) and breakout movie actor (Taylor Lautner).
Queen Latifah will host the live telecast again, at the Nokia Theater at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. This awards show is distinguished by fans voting for their favorite entertainers, TV shows and films with the most popular winning, not necessarily the "best."
It will be produced by Mark Burnett who created the successful reality show Survivor, and as usual, top performers, presenters, and finalists will be involved in the showing appreciation to their fans.
