The biggest game from the Premier League season's opening day of fixtures sees top-five finishers Manchester United and Tottenham face off at Old Trafford.

United will play in the Champions League play-offs to qualify after finishing fourth last year, and Spurs will want to exact revenge after being kept out of the elite European tournament by United, as Tottenham only managed to finish fifth, as well as the disappointing 3-0 defeat they suffered in March last season.

In other high light games, Premier League champions Chelsea play Swansea to begin their title defence, and runners-up Manchester City travel to West Brom to start their season on the road.

Mourinho's Chelsea, who cruised to a top-place finish last season - ending up 8 points ahead of their nearest challengers - will keep a close eye on City and will hope to start their attempt to retain the championship crown with a win over a Swansea side who finished 8th in the league.

City, potentially bolstered by prospective newcomers like Raheem Sterling, go to West Brom to once again try to finish first in the Premier League race, like they did two years ago, as champions in the 2012/13 season.

Newly promoted Bournemouth will host Aston Villa at Dean Court on their first day of the Premier League, whereas Watford, who qualified for automatic promotion as well, will have a tricky game away at Everton on opening day.

Here are all ten fixtures for the first day of the season:

Arsenal vs West Ham United
