With the release of Gus van Sant’s, highly celebrated film
Milk, the topic of Gay cinema has been pushed back into the forefront of movie goers minds’.

A genre that until recently has been stereotyped with the hardships of homosexual life and the ‘Aids’ movie, for a long time the realm of gay cinema was left mainly to non English speaking producers and directors. Here Philip Henshner chooses his ten best gay movies.
