BOOKING YOUR HOTEL

1.Simply select your hotel from the table adjacent and have your preferred dates of stay available.

2.Call the central reservations number on 0345 585593. Lines are open 8.30am-9pm Monday to Friday and 10am-7pm Saturday and Sunday

3.On confirmation of your booking you will be issued with a booking reference number.

4.Make a note of this on the coupon below and attach your four tokens.

5.It is a condition of booking that you present your four tokens on arrival at the hotel.

All breaks are subject to availability. Please remember that you must stay for a minimum of two nights.

pounds 79 RETURN FARE FOR TWO

Two people can travel from London Euston to any Sleeper destination in Scotland for an exclusive return fare of pounds 79, including travel, bed and breakfast. You can also take advantage of connecting onward local rail travel on ScotRail's West and North Highland lines for just a pounds 5 return add-on for 2 people.

BOOKING YOUR TRAIN TRAVEL

1.Call ScotRail ShortBreaks on 0870 161 0 161. Rail travel must be booked at least 7 days in advance of outward travel using credit or debit cards only.

2.Once your booking has been confirmed please complete the coupon below and send with your four tokens from The Independent and Independent on Sunday to: ScotRail ShortBreaks Brunel House, 36 Station Road, Chinnor, Oxon OX9 4GW

Lines are open during normal office hours.

TOKENS

You must collect four tokens from those printed between Saturday 4 September and Friday 10 September 1999 for each offer. If you are taking advantage of both offers you will need to send four tokens to ScotRail and produce four tokens on arrival at your hotel.

DESTINATIONS AND DEPARTURE TIMES

The Sleeper operates direct to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen and Fort William and serves major short break destinations such as Perth and Aviemore on the way.

Sleepers leave London Euston at 21.30 (Mon-Fri) and 21.10 (Sun) for Inverness, Aberdeen and Fort William and 23.55 (Mon-Fri) and 23.25 (Sun) for Edinburgh and Glasgow.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Travel and accommodation are subject to availability and must be completed by Sunday 19 December 1999. All hotel break offer prices are based on the normal full room rate and on two people staying for at least two nights bed and breakfast. The ScotRail offer is subject to sleeper berth availability on the nights required. Accommodation will be in twin berth non-smoking cabins. Sleepers operate 6 nights a week (no Saturday service). Rail travel must be booked at least 7 days in advance of outward travel, using credit/debit cards only. One night, at least, must be spent in Scotland. The promoters: ScotRail and Macdonald Hotels.
