Many forget that the Elan was revived in 1990 as a thoroughly modern sports car - composite plastic body, brilliant handling, effortless performance, all the Lotus magic. A Japanese Isuzu turbocharged engine meant it wouldn't break down either. Demand is strong - a Lotus hardly depreciates - not surprising as only 3,855 were built.
