Care for gay carers
The first support group for lesbian and gay people who care for the elderly and infirm has opened in London.
The project is a collaboraiton between the Netherwood day centre in Kilburn and the Alzheimer's Disease Society.
Organisers are particuarly keen to reach those caring for people with Aids.
Sally Knocker, of the Alzheimer's Disease Society, said project workers had received dozens of telephone inquiries.
The group meets on every third Wednesday of the month between 7.30pm and 9pm at the Netherwood day centre. For more details call 071 372 0750.
