What’s under your tree...

'I have been angling for a “Mum” ring from my son, but I don’t think I will get one! In my dreams, I want a Lanvin necklace.'

Emma Cook, designer

Top of my Christmas list is a painting by Beatrice Boyle. Throughout my life so far I have invested in clothes and now, with an overflowing wardrobe, I want to start investing in art. I have recently done up my flat so this will be the last piece of the puzzle. I like to support young talent and Beatrice is an amazing up-and-coming artist.

Erin Mullaney, buying director at Browns

...and what’s in your stocking?

One thing that is very high on my list is to find the right person, man or woman, to come and do the perfect tiling in my bathroom. Other than that a nice summerhouse in Sweden, a dog or a really good crime book would do me just fine.

Peter Jensen, designer

I would love to receive the first edition of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Dickens and Enid Blyton were really the reason I came to England. It doesn’t matter what state the book is in. That gift would be my dream come true.

Manolo Blahnik, shoe designer

My list goes on and on. There is nothing better than diamonds at Christmas, but, failing that, I’d be delighted to unwrap just about any pair of shoes from my favourite shoe designer Laurence Dacade, an Hermès mini Constance bag, or a minky grey coloured floppy-eared bunny rabbit.
