In which painting by which painter can you find this eye?

DETAILS 284 came from a painting by Honore Daumier variously known as Advice to a Young Artist, Visit to a Studio and The Amateur Print Collector (1860). The picture hangs in the National Gallery, Washington.

The first three correct entries drawn were from: Michael Clark of Welwyn, Herts; Richard Asplen of Westbury, Wilts; and Sue Nolan of London, E17.

Each will receive a bottle of champagne, as will the winners of this week's competition. Answers on a postcard (to arrive by Wednesday 15 May) to: DETAILS 286, Independent on Sunday, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5DL.
