Bella Younger has spoken out against Victoria’s Secret's lack of body diversity.

Their annual fashion show, which took place on Monday, featured the usual roster of exclusively lithe-limbed models such as Karlie Kloss and Bella Hadid.

In a bid to address the lack of diverse body types on the catwalk, Younger, who runs the parody health and fitness Instagram account Deliciously Stella, has created a parody web series.

In the series, named "Stella gets her wings”, Younger embarks on a spoof mission to become a Victoria’s Secret angel as Deliciously Stella,

"Although the show is more ethnically diverse, yet again, they haven’t cast any plus size models," Younger told The Independent.

With plus-size models like Ashley Graham and Tess Holliday getting more high profile campaigns and magazine covers, Younger says she had hoped that this year's show might feature some curvier women.

"This would have been the perfect year to represent diverse body types on the catwalk", she added.

However, the model line-up proved not dissimilar from previous years and was fronted by the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel.

"By sending out the message that only one type of body type is worth fantasising about, Victoria's Secret risks alienating other women and affecting impressionable young womens’ self esteem," Younger says.

It was out of a desire to address these frustrations that Younger’s mockumentary was born.

"My co-writer/director, Emilia Reid, my producer, Hannah Bilverstone and I were fed up of being told how we should look and we also love satire," she explained.

"This seemed like the perfect vehicle to laugh at the unrealistic standards we set for women."

Featuring a string of comedy stars such as Blake Harrison and Margaret Clunie, the five-part series will follow Deliciously Stella on her journey to becoming a Victoria’s Secret model, in which she will learn how to eat, and train and walk like an angel.

It’s a parodied narrative that Younger is also perpetuating on the Deliciously Stella Instagram account, where she currently has 138,000 followers.

"We hope that the series makes a serious point in a funny way," Younger explains.

"The fantasy bra is made from iced gems after all."
