Apps for the style-conscious: interactive fitness, easy fragrance shopping, and an instant tan
Wednesday 16 March 2011
This week, work out and eat healthily with Kim Kardashian, find perfumes similar to your favorites, and get ready to look like you're just back from the Maldives.
US Self magazine has launched a free iPad app March 16, on the occasion of its April print issue starring social media pro Kim Kardashian. The fitness publication's highly interactive app not only features the usual behind-the-scenes footage but also personalizes exercises, lets you calculate the calories of your meal, and allows you to shop clothes directly from models presenting them in motion.
Swiss fragrance house Firmenich has updated its free osMoz.com iPhone app, which brings you news on your favorite perfume brands. This latest version also features geolocation to point you to a perfume store near you and lets you browse fragrances by more refined criteria, such as their ingredients.
Are your Facebook profile pictures getting paler and paler? Don't fret: new app TanningBooth ($0.99) lets you select one of four tan tones and upload a more sunkissed version of yourself directly to Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr.
