Apps for the style-conscious: Vogue, strike a pose

This week, go Gaga on the iPad and share your favorite looks with the world.
American Vogue has launched its first iPad app in conjunction with its March Lady Gaga cover. Vogue Cover Exclusive ($0.99) is "celebrity journalism for the digital age, including never-before-seen video of the cover subject, alternate photographs, new interviews, and intimate behind-the-scenes footage of the cover shoot." The first edition comes with a video of Gaga's photo shoot, outtakes, and an audio diary of cover story author Jonathan Van Meter who accompanied the star on tour.
Japanese retailer Uniqlo, one of the first stores to introduce an iPhone app in 2008, will launch a new one called Uniqlooks mid-March that invites users to upload their favorite looks incorporating the brand's items. A Facebook page has already been launched.
As part of its Milestones series, Women's Wear Daily has created an iPad app about Gucci to celebrate the Italian brand's 90th anniversary as part of the ongoing Milan fashion week. WWD Milestones - Gucci at 90 includes a timeline of Gucci's key dates and career highlights, complete with videos and slideshows.
