Beauty agenda: June's biggest fragrance launches
Friday 27 May 2011
Here are the perfumes hitting international stores next month, as well as two leading beauty fairs not to be missed in June.
Japanese fashion house Kenzo will release a flanker to its Flower fragrance designed for a younger audience, called Flower Tag, inspired by graffiti culture and its freedom of expression. Notes include mandarin, blackcurrant, rhubarb, jasmine, peony, lily of the valley, tea, vanilla, and musk.
US designer Vera Wang is readying new fragrance Lovestruck, which will be available in Europe from June and in the US from August. According to Wang, the scent is "all about being overwhelmed, inexplicably, hopelessly in love." Lovestruck will be a composition of guava, angelica, tuberose, lotus blossom, woods, and musk.
A flanker to Armani Code, called Armani Code Sport - composed of lemon, mandarin, mint, gray amber, ginger, and vetiver - is scheduled to be released next month.
Justin Bieber created his first fragrance for his female fans: the fruity floral Someday will come to US stores including Macy's, Sephora, Dillard's and Nordstrom in June. Prices range from $35 to $55.
