Mi(n)x it up like Avril Lavigne
"I kind of switch it up, but I always have Rosebud Lip Balm ($6)," the singer tells fashion and beauty website StyleList. "I like black eyeliner, mascara, and nail polish. I go back and forth between black and red nail polish. I like to wear Minx (one manicure: around $50). I do designs like skulls. I did an Alice in Wonderland theme pattern on my nails for the movie premiere and wore it in the music video for the song I wrote."
Go gray like Kelis, Lady Gaga, and Kelly Osbourne
It's not Kelly Osbourne's recent split from model boyfriend Luke Worrall that made her go gray - it's her trendiness. "I think it's very exciting," Jason Backe, celebrity colorist for L'Oreal Professionnel at Ted Gibson Salon in New York City, told MTV Style. "We've been trying to avoid gray hair and covering it up but now it's something new, fresh, and young.... It is shocking to do something unconventional, which is probably why young Hollywood is salt-and-peppering their strands all of a sudden." If you want to try it (if you're not yet naturally grey), consider that your hair will have to be bleached first, dyed every three weeks or so, and require weekly treatments to stay glossy and healthy-looking.
For specific care, try Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo ($18.99) or Aveda Blue Malva Shampoo ($29.95).
