Daisy Lowe's collection for Morgan to hit stores this week

British model Daisy Lowe, who has modeled for Louis Vuitton, Mango, Agent Provocateur and Marc by Marc Jacobs, is now adding designer to her fashion resume. Lowe's one-off capsule collection for French fast fashion chain Morgan will be available for sale online and across boutiques in France starting November 4.

The 21-year-old Lowe, a regular on the party circuit, designed a women's ready-to-wear collection of Lurex maxi-dresses and other glitzy ensembles fit for a clubbing queen like herself in her Oiseau de Nuit (Night Owl) capsule collection. Expect to find rocker chic pieces in the collection including a leather catsuit ($440).

Founded in 1967 by Odette Barouch and Jocelyne Bismuth, the distinctly Gallic brand - for whom French first lady Carla Bruni has modeled - now distributes its collections in 35 countries worldwide. The Oiseau de Nuit collection is the first time Morgan has collaborated with a guest designer, reflecting the changes underfoot at Morgan which was acquired last year by Groupe Beaumanoir.

Hervé Bailly, Morgan's marketing and communication director, told W magazine that Lowe was a natural fit for the company since it specializes in evening and party clothes for young women.

Morgan is launching a dedicated website for the Oiseau de Nuit collection, which will feature an advertising campaign featuring Lowe and her friends getting ready for a big night out on the town. "I chose the photographer, the location, the hair and makeup people, the models - everything," Lowe told Women's Wear Daily. "[They are] literally just my mates whom I forced to be covered in vines and loads of glitter. Bless them - it took them weeks to get that glitter out of their clothes and their hair."

Lowe's first-ever collection for Morgan will go on sale in select stores in France and online this week, priced from $30 to $440. Though Morgan's e-commerce site usually provides international shipping for fashionistas living overseas, Lowe's limited edition collection will be sold exclusively in France for the time being.

Lowe joins the growing queue of English model-turned-designers. Fellow UK "It" girl Agnyess Dyn rolled out an eleven-piece one-off capsule collection in March 2010 for Barney's New York's Shinjuku branch in Tokyo, Japan, while British top model Kate Moss has to date designed 14 collections for UK fast fashion retailer Topshop.
