Duran Duran to recreate 'Freedom' supermodel music video?
Sunday 22 May 2011
According to British magazine
Grazia, singer Simon Le Bon's wife Yasmin has been busy recruiting her fellow supermodel friends for the band's latest video shoot in the South of France.
Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell are said to be part of the project reminiscent of George Michael's iconic "Freedom" video from the 1990s that featured the 'original supermodels' including Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and Tatjana Patitz.
Moss recently said in an interview last week that one of the major regrets of her career was that "..I wasn't in [George Michael's] Freedom video... I just missed it. That would have been amazing."
"It's all very exciting, all the girls back together again," Grazia quotes a source as saying. "Yasmin's spent weeks recruiting her model friends, and she and Naomi were discussing it and getting excited about it when they were in Cannes for Naomi's Fashion For Relief show."
