Here are the latest ethical beauty campaigns and product releases to coincide with Earth Day, April 22.

Needles for the cause

For sharing any of your recent acts of kindness on their website, anti-wrinkle specialist Botox will donate $25 to one of three charities until they have reached $250,000, no strings attached.

Teeth just got wiser

Fun fact: Burt Shavitz first celebrated Earth Day 40 years ago. This year, his US cult label Burt's Bees is selling all-natural, cranberry-based toothpaste in honor of the day, complete with a kids' range in other fruity flavors.

Tested on film stars, not on animals

That's the slogan of celebrity hair stylist (Demi Moore, Marisa Tomei) Tara Smith's vegan styling range. Smith's products are free of parabens, artificial coloring, synthetic fragrances and animal derivatives and instead rely on natural ingredients such as avocado, olive oil, or yeast extracts, while costing a surprisingly low $5.95 to $9.95.

Artists for the rain forest

Actress Julianne Moore, rapper Pharrell Williams, artist Jeff Koons and professional surfer Malia Jones have designed new labels for the Acai Damage-Protecting Toning Mist by Kiehl's ($26). All proceeds will go to the Rainforest Alliance.

Supermodel support

Gisele Bundchen's new organic beauty line Sejaa is now available online. She used coconut oil as a preservative and told US Vogue: "[The manufacturers] were ready to kill me. I wanted the cream to be organic - they explained that if it's organic, it's alive, and that means it can't survive for a long time."

Organic skincare

Swedish retailer H&M has launched its first-ever organic skincare line, including shower gel, body scrub, body lotion, hand cream and lip balm (all under €4.90), available in raspberry, melon, lavender, and mint fragrances. All products are certified by organic product authority Ecocert, and they come accompanied by makeup bags made from organic cotton.
