Coachella is the equivalent of Britain’s Glastonbury. It kick-starts the festival season and sees a parade of celebrities and music fans setting the trends that will dominate the fields at festivals this summer.

While many of the style staples stay the same - think fringing, anything suede, denim cut-offs, flat ankle boots, cropped tops (as seen on Gigi Hadid and Bella Thorne) and bohemian dresses (as seen on Alexa Chung) - some more unusual styles are introduced - think Kendall Jenner's longer denim bermuda shorts. Also, gladiator sandals are back - see Jourdan Dunn's look.

Coachella has always been hailed as a fashionista's festival, with all young Hollywood gathered in one dusty desert destination. However, as seen from this gallery, it’s also an opportunity for festival-goers to have their Hollywood moment and show off their tanned legs, bare chests, abs and sometimes even butt cheeks (all in an effort to prove they've been working out hard in the past weeks).

It's not all about music. During the festival, a number of fashion labels take the opportunity to throw private parties with many of Hollywood and fashion's elite all in one place. American handbag brand, Coach, got together the likes of Jourdan Dunn, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and actress Kate Bosworth.

More than the music performances (that Madonna and Drake kiss aside), it’s all about the style at Coachella, and as the second weekend of the highly-anticipated festival approaches here is some inspiration from your favourite stars.
