What are you wearing right now?

Jeans, a shirt and a jacket. I often wearing jeans, they are the foundation to my wardrobe and I have lots.

Who's your style icon?

Without doubt, Ralph Lauren – he has the most amazing style, which will never go out of fashion.

What can't you live without?

Cologne, I can reapply a few times a day. A fresh scent is very important to me.

Describe the best outfit you've ever worn

Despite designing luxury streetwear, which I generally live in, I would have to say one of my suits. Could even be a Ralph Lauren. Every man must own a great-fitting suit.

What's in your wardrobe?

I like to wear leather biker-style jackets. I have loads, from tan to black, and they are so versatile. I like to wear them with a shirt and jeans. I own many T-shirts, which are a staple and a key piece in my designs.

What's in your manbag?

My Blackberry, some paper for sketches, my pen and some magazines.

If you could live in any decade style-wise, which would it be?

I love the present, and am having lots of fun, so I think I'd have to say this decade. Although I love the styles of many of the decades gone by, I think we bring them together and mix them up a bit. In this decade: anything goes. And that's something I find quite refreshing.

How often do you look in the mirror?

I'm not vain, so only when I brush my teeth.

Any guilty pleasures you want to share with us?

I love it when I see Madonna wearing my clothes.

What's your secret style tip?

Like you said, it's a SECRET.

The Ed Hardy flagship store opened in Westfield, London, last month and the holiday pop-up store there is open until 27 January
