We love: Learned literature

The newest magazine to hit The Audit’s radar is the launch of 1 Granary by the students of London’s Central Saint Martins. It will showcase talent from students past and present alongside interviews and editorial features.

Available in bookstores and 1granary.com

We’re not sure about: Tacky tats

Body art often stirs strong emotions of love or hate but even the ambivalent will find it tough to justify the temporary versions, especially when they’re too cartoonish to pull the wool over anybody’s eyes.

£6 per pack, rosiewonders.co.uk

We’re buying: Floral fantasy

Now that spring has sprung, the thought of investing in florals doesn’t seem quite so inappropriate. The arrival of the Comptoir Des Cotonniers collaboration with up-and-coming Canadian designer Calla which focuses on hydrangeas could not be more timely.

From £55, comptoirdescotonniers.co.uk

We can’t wait for: Rhinestone cowboy

The latest film that has us reaching for the popcorn is the new Liberace biopic, Behind The Candelabra, an adaptation of the memoir of Scott Thorson, the pianist’s young lover. Michael Douglas stars as the flamboyant performer with Matt Damon as the object of his affections.

7 June, cinemas nationwide

We’re visiting: New Choos

Most ladies love their shoes but increasingly there’s a real appreciation from the male population. Tapping into this trend is luxury retailer Jimmy Choo, which has just opened a two-storey flagship store in London’s Mayfair dedicated to menswear.

35 Dover Street, London W1
