American actress and model Liv Tyler showed her baby bump on the red carpet of the Elle Style Awards 2016, where she was named Actress of the Year for her role in TV series The Leftovers.

As she praised Stella McCartney, who presented her award, for making the blue floor-length dress she was wearing, the 38-year-old said that her biggest upcoming project really is motherhood. “I mean, I'm having a baby,” she exclaimed with joy. But added she’ll be filming another season for the HBO series and has just designed a collection in collaboration with British, Italian-owned label Belstaff. “It's small, I just did few pieces and coats, but it was exciting.”

The British designer won British Brand of the Year, and she was the hot name on the night, dressing other stars, too, of the likes of supermodel Karlie Kloss, who won Inspiring Women of the Year, and Ellie Goulding, who presented McCartney’s award.

Holding her award, Tyler went into the difference between acting for TV and films. “I mean, it’s the same experience really, but it goes on and on in a nice way so you have more time to sort of falling in love with your character and your cast getting the hang of it,” she said. “With TV you get the chance to explore your character in a whole new kind of way and there's a lot of changes and twists.”
