We love: Blushing bridal

Roland Mouret gives good dress – his creations are at once flattering, feminine and sexy. A new bridal collection from the designer sees this signature style wrought for the very modern bride.

From £1,495, Roland Mouret, 8 Carlos Place, London W1, 020 7518 0700

We’re not sure about: Loaning polish

Nail polish isn’t the most bulky of buys or the most expensive, so why bother renting it? Lacquerous.com doesn’t think that sharing a brush with an unseen user will scare off potential customers, nor that each bottle is monitored for fair usage.

We’re buying: A charm of its own

The jewellery of Jordan Askill has a sculptural quality, and those who can’t afford his mainline collection can now snap up a piece at the fraction of the cost thanks to Topshop. Crafted from black rhodium and gold plate, carved panthers appear on rings and cuffs with removable charms.

From £25, topshop.com

We can’t wait for: Shop till you drop

If your shopping list is as long as your arm, a trip to Seven Dials in Covent Garden this Thursday is sure to kill a few birds with one stone, and a discounted one at that. The area’s shops, including The White Company, Fred Perry and Pretty Ballerinas, will be offering 20 per cent off as well as complimentary gifts and treats.

Thursday 29 November, from 5pm, register at sevendials.co.uk
