We love: Costume dramas

Philip Treacy's Michael Jackson-inspired show was something of a scene stealer at London Fashion Week last month. Now the King of Pop's costumes are on display in all their glory at the Getty Gallery in Westfield Stratford City.

Until 4 November, £10, ticketmaster.co.uk

We're not sure about: Movie make-up

The Twilight franchise, and its accompanying publicity juggernaut, may finally be shuddering to a halt – if not the 50 shades of creatures it spawned – but not before every last opportunity for merchandising has been wrung out. Lo, a vampire-themed make-up collection, popping up in Harrods soon.

We're buying: Princesse Tam Tam

The Parisian lingerie brand was inspired by the Jazz Age film of the same name starring Josephine Baker, so it's only fitting that this fringe-a-like number is available on the boutique label's new e-commerce site alongside chic nightwear and swimwear.

Tutu bra £47, briefs from £33, princessetamtam.co.uk

We can't wait for: What's the story?

Photographer Tim Walker is something of a dream weaver, and this new exhibition not only displays the images he creates for Vogue, Vanity Fair and W but gives a glimpse into his creative process via installations and real-life props too.

Story Teller, from 18 October, free admission, Somerset House, London WC2R 1LA

We're saving up for: Watch out

When looking for inspiration for its new timepiece, it comes as little surprise that Burberry alighted on trench coats and British craftsmanship. The Britain collection features a rounded, octagonal shape and distinctive bolts and is available for men and women.
