Flower Power

Modern florals come in all shapes and sizes – from fields of violently coloured chrysanthemums at Mary Katrantzou and Sixties pastel daisies at Marni to digitally printed roses at Dries Van Noten. Choose from layers of bold colours and hyper-real prints or delicate etchings of wildflowers.

Tropical Storm

Hibiscus, palm fronds and succulent berries await to welcome you to the jungle. Bright colours pop against a white background and tanned skin. Sure to bring a cheering ray of sunshine to your day – even if you don't venture further than to the chemist for a bottle of St Tropez.

Pyjama Party

Foulard scarf swirls and paisley prints evoke decadent glamour. Rich jewel coloured versions at Haider Ackermann are louche and luxurious, but sticking to muted colours and monochrome makes the look easier to wear on home ground. High heels – be they block or spindly – are the key to convincing that you haven't gone out in your jim-jams.

Artfully Done

Layer up watercolour splashes and tie-dye effects in softly muted colours to create a trippy, hippy feel that echoes the mellow mood of languid summers spent in the sun (if only). Pieces with minimal structure in cool silks and cottons are the best way to achive this California casual look at home.

Animal Magic

Animal prints in some guise seem to be perennially in style. Though this season, as well as a cartoonish take on big cat prints at House of Holland (along with snake and cow), bird prints have been big news – be they Giles' elegant swans to parrots in flight at Marc by Marc Jacobs.
