Round

Circular frames work well for those with a penchant for retro styling.

The smaller the frames, the quirkier the look; think John Lennon. For a more modern interpretation look out for styles in bright colours and to avoid a hippy chic look, pair with tailored separates for an altogether more put together outfit.

Cat Eye

Feline-inspired sunglasses carry a whiff of the glamorous Fifties film star about them. They don’t have to be particularly over the top in shape, you can get a similar effect from subtle rounded edges as you do from full-on winged flicks.

Muted Tones

The trends this season may be dictating a loud and proud approach to colour but muted tones are an elegant choice for eyewear. Soft colours are understated, stylish and flattering on most skintones and you won’t be stuck finding an outfit to match because these neutral shades will mix in with anything.

Embellished

Sunglasses aren’t the most traditional of clothing candidates for a bit of bedazzling but following an appearance of floral-embellished numbers at Prada they’ve ap- peared in all manner of forms. Whether you go for floral applique, sequins, diamantes these are shades that make a statement.
