New fashion videos: male model mania
Monday 31 January 2011
Tired of looking at beautiful women? Nah, us neither, but this month, there have been some pretty handsome guys, too, to add to your fashion video mix.
"Jive! Jive! Jive!," directed by Bon Duke for the StyleCaster website, features male model Cole Mohr "jiving" on the dancefloor of iconic New York night club Don Hills in this rockabilly-inspired video.
The following clip that goes behind the scenes at the men's fashion shows in Milan and Paris - made for US-based designer Jason Wu - generated a lot of buzz on the internet, not only because of the pretty boys having fun with it, but also thanks to the impeccable 'eye' of style blog, Jak & Jil.
"The Powder Room," by Zoe Cassavetes, shot at London's Claridges Hotel, features models Audrey Marnay, Caroline de Maigret, Line Gost und Sophie Vlaming and is the first film of a series called Women's Tales that has female directors explore the popularity of Italian label Miu Miu.
In this short film for Marie Claire, titled "The Suitcase" and produced by New York-based Milk Studios and directed by Greg Brunkalla, model Noot Seear dresses up in haute couture and gets magically transported into a fashion fairytale land.
For the 160th anniversary of Asian department store Lane Crawford, director Elle Muliarchyk dressed models in Phillip Lim's spring collection and had them walk the streets of Beijing, Paris, New York, and the store's native Hong Kong.
Models Freja Beha Erichsen and Anne Vyalitsyna teamed up for H&M's latest TV spot.
