H&M's has announced its newest designer collaboration will be with French fashion house Balmain.

The 11th instalment of H&M's highly successful designer collections was after much speculation confirmed at last night's Billboard Music awards.

Models Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn hinted at the news on social media sharing images of themselves with the designer Olivier Rousteing shortly before arriving at the awards decked out in pieces from the upcoming collaboration.

The news was confirmed by the high street brand who released a teaser video on Instagram calling for fans to join the "balmainnation"

"I want to talk to my generation − this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain, getting a piece of the dream and creating a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag." Commented Rousteing.

In an interview with Style.com Rousteing said of the collection itself:

"My collaboration is different from the others. H&M really challenged themselves with craftsmanship, with the high couture level of France, and the results are great."

"Ten years ago, I was the one waiting in front of the window to get the pieces. So I feel like this time I have a double personality: One is the designer who created the collection, and the second is the one who remembers how it felt to wait for the pieces and fight to get them."

The first look at the new range as seen at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas last night revealed: on Jenner a velvet embellished blazer with thigh high boots. And on Dunn a mesh rope top with silk skirt - all instantly recognisable as baring the hallmarks of Balmain.

Rousteing is the 11th designer to team up with the fast fashion retailer with previous collections from the likes of Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld, Versace and Lanvin.

The new collection which will include womenswear, menswear, accessories and shoes will hit stores and online worldwide on 5 November.
