Versace has unveiled Madonna as the star of its spring/summer 2015 advertising campaign.

This is the third time that Madonna has featured in campaigns for the brand. She first appeared in 1995 photographed by Steven Meisel, she was featured again 10 years later in a campaign shot by Mario Testino.

Another decade on and she once again has lent her face to the Italian brand in a series of images shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

In the first of three images the singer is pictured in a laser-cut dress, in another she wears a bodycon cropped top demonstrating an enviable figure, two decades on from her debut appearance for the brand.

The Versace campaign has been released in the same week as an editorial shoot for Interview magazine in which the singer is pictured in a series of provocative images including a daring topless shot, also shot by Mert and Marcus.

Madonna follows in the footsteps of Lady Gaga who featured in the brand's spring/summer 2014 campaign.
