In the high fashion shoot photographed by Paola Kudacki, the multi-talented singer has turned her hand to modelling.
For the editorial she sports a stunning array of haute couture designs by the likes of Dior, Giambattista Valli, Schiaparelli, and Valentino.
In one image she barely covers her modesty in a revealing shot which shows her clad in just an intricate necklace by luxury jewellers, Yeprem.
In another shot she's pictured pouting at the camera wearing just a black and red veil from the haute couture collection by Giorgio Armani.
For the cover image Rihanna is pictured uncharacteristically covered up in a black and white bustier and gown by Atelier Versace.
Despite professing in the interview for the publication, that she is actually "shy" Bad Gal Riri as she is known on social media, is obviously rather pleased with the shoot sharing numerous images on her Instagram account.
Rihanna is no stranger to revealing photoshoots, last year she posed with little more than a snake to cover her in a shoot styled by Damian Hirst for GQ magazine.
She is well established in the fashion industry; starring in campaigns for the likes of Balmain and collaborating with brands including MAC and River Island.
She also has a reputation for somewhat daring red carpet ensembles, she famously went to the CFDA awards earlier this year in a sheer dress embellished with Swarovski crystals by Adam Selman.
Just last week she attended a charity gala in Los Angeles wearing a gown by Tom Ford which featured nipple pastie-type designs.
Hot on the heels of the Elle shoot, yet another raunchy set of images have been released this time from British Esquire magazine which feature Rihanna in unsurprisingly various stages of undress.
The editorial was shot by Ellen Von Unwerth for the magazine's December issue. And once again the pop singer has taken to Instagram to show off the images sharing photos from the shoot with her 13 million followers.

8/10 Ri-ri for River Island
Sporty, sexy, cool: A combination that manages to be both ladylike and a bit trashy at the same time, thanks to cut and colour. Most importantly, it’s see-through.
9/10 Ri-ri for River Island
Glamorous grunge: This looks like something Ri-Ri would have worn at the beginning of her career, before she got all posh. A bit 1990s and a bit stompy – a hit.
10/10 Ri-ri for River Island
The thigh’s the limit: This should look cheap, but somehow it doesn’t. Top marks here, Rihanna, for fashionable restraint: flesh on show OR fluorescents. But never both.
