French luxe brand Chanel announced February 16 that movie director Martin Scorsese has created a short film to promote an upcoming men's fragrance.

Not much is known about this new men's scent at this point, other than its release being planned for this fall, and the French actor Gaspard Ulliel starring in the film as well as the print ads.

It had been reported earlier this year that Scorsese, whose movie Shutter Island premiers February 19, was seen filming the Chanel commercial in Brooklyn, New York.

Meanwhile, fellow director David Lynch will release his Lady Rouge commercial for Dior later this year.
