From The Row to Tom Ford, here's our recap of the winners from last night's award ceremony.

Last night New York played host to the Council of the Fashion Designers of America awards (the CFDA to be concise).

The CFDA awards are to fashion what the Oscars are to the movie world, celebrating the very best design talent in the industry.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the big winners of the night taking away the prize for womenswear designer of the year for their label The Row.

Tom Ford won the big accolade in the menswear division and Tabitha Simmons reigned in the accessories category.

For international talent it was Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli who were celebrated for their work at Valentino.

The Lincoln Center was the venue for the annual event, hosted by British comedian James Corden which saw an impressive guestlist from fashion designers, musicians, models and movie stars.
