Weekly fashion indicators: easy ways to update your wardrobe

Polyvore users are keen on accessories this week, with necklaces in all shapes -- pearls, multi-chains, statement pieces -- being exceptionally popular.

(Relaxnews) -

Polyvore users are keen on accessories this week, with necklaces in all shapes - pearls, multi-chains, statement pieces - being exceptionally popular.

Other tactics of adding instant oomph to an existing wardrobe include printed scarves, lace tights, or new shoes - all featured in the trend top ten.

The most radical change this week, however, is users' tedium with Kim Kardashian. The reality star who had topped the celebrity ranking for weeks is not even included in the list this time around. Instead, top models such as Anja Rubik, Jessica Stam, or Natalia Vodianova are serving as the main inspiration for the collages.

In brands, users' love for the deceased designer Alexander McQueen is already fading, with his label being replaced by Miu Miu at the top of the charts. Re-entries of Isabel Marant and Diane von Furstenberg as well as the rise of Burberry Prorsum and 3.1 Phillip Lim speak for a high popularity of the brands' fall/winter shows.

Von Furstenberg is also one of the most popular labels online, while the current multi-designer shopping obsession seems to be styledrops.com. Scandinavian sites, such as modekungen.se, are still high in demand, even if they often don't translate their content into English: a clear sign for the ever-increasing popularity of Nordic brands.
