Watch: Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood co-star in steamy fragrance campaign
Tuesday 21 June 2011
For its just-launched men's fragrance Gucci Guilty Homme, the Italian luxury house has come up with a dramatic commercial shot by
Sin City and
The Dark Knight director Frank Miller.
Countering Armani's cinematic new commercial for its Code fragrance starring Megan Fox, Gucci tapped actors Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood for a smoldering, Easy Rider-inspired short film set against a Bat for Lashes version of Depeche Mode's "Strange Love."
It is yet another case of a top-league Hollywood director shooting a beauty commercial: recently, Martin Scorsese filmed a beauty commercial for Chanel, David Lynch got enlisted by Dior, and Black Swan's Darren Aronofsky just premiered a clip for Revlon.
Notes of the flowery-woody Guilty Homme include Italian lemon and mandarin, crushed green leaves, pink pepper, lavender, orange flower, neroli, patchouli, cedar, and sandalwood.
