A new fashion hotel opens in New York and Grace Kelly's couture goes on show in London.

The new fashion-focused hotel of the Wyndham group will collaborate with the nearby Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and feature stylish gimmicks such as discount cards for local department stores and sales listings. Rates start at $255.

To mark the new relationship between the Brooklyn Museum and the Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum presents an exhibition of some of the most renowned objects from its costume collection, including designs by American and international designers such as Charles James, Norman Norell, Gilbert Adrian, Elsa Schiaparelli, Jeanne Lanvin, Madeleine Vionnet, and Christian Dior.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art will celebrate the arrival of the Brooklyn Museum costume collection at the Met with a related exhibition.
