Weekly fashion agenda: Haute Couture shows open in Paris

Coming up on the international fashion agenda: haute couture week in Paris, and ready-to-wear fashion weeks in Hong Kong and Berlin.

Haute Couture

The likes of Chanel, Dior, Gaultier, and Valentino will stage fashion shows, while Givenchy has decided to show its creations by appointment only to the exclusive clientele that is able to afford the one-off dresses. Special delicacy this season: Jean Paul Gaultier will present the first lingerie in 30 years, prior to his La Perla collection launch later this year.

Hong Kong Fashion Week
July 5-8
Hong Kong

Organized by the Hong Kong Trading Council, the fashion week offers buyers a spread of the latest garments and accessories from high-end fashion to mass merchandise. Highlights of the fair include the Brand Name Gallery, Intimate Wear Zone and World of Fashion Accessories.

Berlin Fashion Week
July 7-11

In addition to the shows on the Bebelplatz in the city center, Berlin Fashion Week also includes the Premium fashion fair at STATION-BERLIN, the 5 elements.berlin lingerie and bodywear fair, the thekey.to event for environmentally friendly and sustainable fashion and the Showfloor Berlin at the Umspannwerk in Kreuzberg. This season's event will also feature the Bright streetwear fair, which just made the move from Frankfurt to Berlin.
