THE GUINNESS FLEADH

@ finsbury park

It's pronounced "flaah" for your information, but after 10 pints, you can call it what you like. Originally designed nine years ago to celebrate Irish music, and provide an excuse to drink copious amounts of the black stuff, the Guinness Fleadh is now the biggest outdoor music festival in the capital celebrating everything Irish.

Simple Minds headline, with support from Sinead O'Connor, Shane MacGowan and The Popes, Mike Scott, World Party and Dr John.

Saturday 6 June, Finsbury Park, London N4 (0541 500044 credit card/0336 404 909 info) pounds 25
