Aldi launches prosecco jeroboam for under £40 in time for Christmas

You’ve got your giant prosecco flute. You smashed that Lidl bank holiday deal for six bottles of bubbly joy for £20.

But you’re probably wondering how you can fuel your prosecco love as the festive season approaches once again.

Fear not, Aldi has come to the rescue.

The budget supermarket is launching a jeroboam of prosecco in time for Christmas.

The bottle will hold three litres of bubbly, which is equivalent to four normal bottles or around 24 glasses.

It’s sure to add some theatre and excitement to your seasonal festivities. Or random Thursday night. We don’t judge here.

And the best part? The bottle costs just £39.99

The prosecco is 100 per cent Glera grape from Veneto in Italy and is 11 per cent ABV.

Its colour is described as “light and brilliant straw coloured yellow with persistent pelage,” the bouquet as “fruity, light and delicate with wisteria flowery notes,” and the taste as “sweet, delicate and dry.”

The jeroboam will be available in stores and online from November 14.

Two years ago, the discount retailer launched its first magnum of prosecco, and the launch of the jeroboam suggests our love for bubbly is only growing.

Aldi’s drinks offerings have been going from strength to strength, with its wine sales growing by 15 per cent this year.

They also won the drinks retailer of the year award in the 2017 Drinks Business Awards.

Whether there’ll be queues down the streets on November 14 like there were last bank holiday remains to seen.
