A Portuguese brewery has created an innovative website made of chocolate to launch its chocolate-flavored stout.
Sagres, a Portuguese brewery founded in 1934 now controlled by Heineken, recruited Portugal's leading chocolatier Victor Nunes to fashion a template made to look like a website using chocolate as his canvas.
The result is a cocoa-flavored website that bears the markings of organic hand carving and chocolate craftsmanship. Rolling over links to Twitter and Facebook, for instance, will break the chocolate buttons in bite-size pieces.
The chocolate stout, Sagres Preta Chocolate, is 4.1 percent alcohol.
Nunes began sculpting the template at the Obidos International Chocolate Festival in March and his team finished the interface at his chocolate factory this month.
Once all the components like buttons and frames were assembled, the agency snapped high resolution photos of the completed interface, which now appears on their website.

Marrying the flavors of chocolate with the rich, heady taste of stout has become a common flavor for breweries around the world.
American craft brewer Samuel Adams also has a Chocolate Bock beer, that uses cocoa nibs from Ecuador. Australian brewery Red Oak also has a Belgium Chocolate Stout that's infused with Belgian chocolate.
