those plates are hateful. the busiest ones would be fine for display puposes but imagine food on them and they would be nauseating. the boring stripey ones remind me of a boring stripey tie on a businessman. boring... the portmerion floral plate is an abomination. ought to be on melamine for kids to abuse.

A truly awful collection, with the exception of the Wedgwood which would be decorative on wall. Where do you find this stuff? They range from exceedingly dull to smugly pretentious. Shouldn't like my dinner on any of them, given a choice! If you want something bright and beautiful try Laure Japy or Gien. For something more sedate what about Monique Lhuillier with Royal Doulton or Noritake

My favorite is the chandelier plate, I think it would look striking with pink salmon and asparagus. I've had a look at the Evthokia website and seen much nicer ones like the play and contact-genius!
