Plus Kilchoman Summer 2010 Release (£45.50/€52), a single malt Scotch aged in 100% Kentucky bourbon barrels for three years, is available for the first time in the US beginning on October 13 according to WhiskyIntelligence.com.

If you are new to bourbon and want to create delectable bites to pair, FoodPairing.be recommends using mangos, apples, bananas, dairy, butter, Parmesan, Brie, caviar, cooked cod fish, Dominican Republic white chocolate, roasted peanuts or hazelnuts, popcorn, roses, cardamom, cloves, honey, baguette, Beijing roasted duck, olive oil and Iberian ham.

Scotch goes best with blue cheese, yoghurt, Brie, strawberries, black currants, mandarin peel, black tea, cocoa nibs and Costa Rican dark chocolate.
