Itsu gyoza

Steamed dumplings have become a bit of an institution lately, and now takeaway shop Itsu has brought out a range you can cook at home. The frozen dumpling come in three flavours, vegetable (which is suitable for vegans too), sesame tuna and king prawn and can be microwaved or cooked in a pan in three minutes.Coming in packs of 20, they’re perfect for a group snack or can be resealed and there’s three sachets of soy sauce so little is wasted.

Moose Maple butter

It’s an American concept; British butter mixed with pure Canadian maple syrup, and the only other added ingredient is sea salt. It’s sweet, but naturally sweet with nothing else added. Slathered on hot toasted crumpets, American pancakes or a slice of sourdough toast for breakfast or drop a spoonful in the pan with some bacon and pop it in a brioche bun. And Nigella Lawson is a fan... if it’s good enough for her. Buy it from Selfridges.co.uk or Partridges.

I sea bacon/ pasta

Willem Sodderland, founder of Seamore said: “A superfood that used to be part of British cuisine was long lost out of sight: seaweed. Now we’re bringing it back to plates looking like your favourite foods: pasta and bacon. The British love the fact that they can now make a healthy, sustainable version of ‘Spag Bog’ with seaweed pasta, and eggs and bacon with seaweed bacon.”

Chelsea Flower Show gin

A quintessentially British drink to tie in with the most prestigious British horticultural event, Chelsea Flower gin is made from 19 botanicals with a hint of rose from rose root, and water that commemorates the association between flowers and nurseries and the Kings Road in Chelsea. The gin is distilled on the north coast of Scotland by highly acclaimed distiller Martin Murray £29.95 for 500ml from Partridges.co.uk

Nush Yoghurts

Made with cashews from Vietnam, these yoghurts are free from dairy, gluten, soya, refined sugar, and contain vitamins and minerals. But they’re still creamy and light and will fulfil that sweet-tooth need at the end of dinner. Coming in three flavours – organic natural, vanilla and strawberry.
