Half Hitch is the first gin distillery to open in Camden in 50 years /

Half Hitch craft gin is putting Camden back on the gin distillery map

Half Hitch gin is created in a micro-distillery in Camden's West Yard, north London, once the heart of London's gin distilling and warehousing.

In the 19th Century, the area stretched from the Lock to the Roundhouse, and gin was transported by an express train around the world from here, where streets such as Juniper Crescent are reminders of the area's gin-soaked past.

Today, Half Hitch craft gin is renewing these historic links.

The spirit is blended in copper pots which creates more delicate flavours after being able to lower the boiling points of ingredients. The gin carries notes of Malawian black tea and Calabrian bergamot, with touches of wood, pepper and hay.
