Creepy crawlies on the menu in Thailand

The idea of snacking on scorpions or crickets may sound repulsive however, academics and the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are hoping they will become a more common global source of protein and nutrients to meet the need for growing world food requirements in the future.

In Thailand eating insects is nothing new and has been going on for years, with many tourists trying out the fried delicacies. So perhaps one day we too may be tucking into some bugs.
