Limeade with mint

There is something that's so refreshing about this drink. It puts the same smile on my face as a mojito, but without the fuzzy head the next day.
8 limes, roughly chopped
100g/3½oz brown sugar
Handful mint leaves
1½ litres/2½ pints soda water
Ice, to serve
Put the limes, sugar and most of the mint into a big jug and use the flat end of a rolling pin to muddle the ingredients together.
Pound until the sugar dissolves and the limes have released their juices. Top up the jug with soda water, give it all a good mix and chill in the fridge.
To serve, fill 6 long glasses with ice, drop in a few mint leaves and strain in the limeade. Serve immediately.
