This week: Anuga, Germany's major food tradeshow ends and Paris gears up for the 46th edition of SIAL and In-Food 2010 on October 17.

Carts in the Parc

Celebrity gastronomist and Travel Channel host Andrew Zimmern launches his Carts in the Parc event taking place during New York City Wine & Food Festival. The 8th edition of this event includes a slow food component that explores the connection between farm to market/table and sustainability for "a new geography for Planet Earth" in Turin, home of the slow food movement. Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair

A highlight of the fair is The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition, the world's first "authentically Asian and largest pan-Asian" "wine, spirit and food pairing competition," which includes awards for Best Wine with Sashimi, Dim Sum, Kung Pao Chicken, Braised Abalone and Peking Duck.
