Cross-platform game 'Dungeon Defenders' gains October date
Wednesday 24 August 2011
Dungeon Defenders, which has already seen success on the App Store, is coming to Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3, with support for cross-platform play on PC, PS3 and mobile already proven.
It's a brightly colored fantasy action game with a smattering of tower defense.
Players take on the roles of sorcerer's apprentice, knight's squire, huntress, and monk, and scramble to lay down fortifications in breaks between enemy waves.
An earlier version of the game was on display at the 2011 Computer Entertainment Show in January, demonstrating simultaneous cross-platform play between PC, PlayStation 3 and Android phone.
Portal 2 has explored similar territory, allowing PlayStation 3, Mac and PC users to play together.
The PC and 360 versions of Dungeon Defenders will be making their debuts on October 19, with Move and 3D support promised for the PS3 game that's expected around the same time.
