It may look like something out of an Isaac Asimov novel but this is not science fiction. Step inside the Engineered Arts workshop in Penryn, England where engineers have created the first British robot actor.
The RoboThespian robot has been developed by the company and can react to an audience using face recognition technology and cameras. The Engineered Arts Company is the only world's only maker of commercially available life-sized humanoid robots.
According to the makers the RoboThespian has been designed for human interaction and is even multilingual. The robot is in its third generation now after six years of development.
